Here, she knew she could wait out the wolf in comfort, with all the space and amenities she could possibly need. From the moment she arrived, the home welcomed her with an abundance of curb appeal. After her eventful day, Red knew this was somewhere she could curl up on the soft furnishings, switch on the TV and leave all thoughts of the wolf firmly at the door. From here, the lounge flows effortlessly into the kitchen breakfast room. At the heart of the space sits a solid wood island, providing the perfect spot to prepare and lay out her evening snacks. An abundance of sage green cabinetry offers plenty of storage for all the food, crockery and utensils needed to create a delicious home-cooked meal. A recently updated boiler, with just under eight years' warranty remaining, alongside sleek integrated appliances, completes this stylish and practical kitchen beautifully. While dinner was cooking, Red wandered towards the glazed sliding doors and looked out onto the beautifully landscaped garden beyond. “What a lovely place to call home,” she thought. But it was getting late, and Red knew the wolf wouldn't give up quite so easily. So, upstairs she went to discover where she might spend the night. To her surprise, there were not one, not two, but three bedrooms awaiting her. Two generously sized double bedrooms provide plenty of space, while the good-sized single bedroom could make the perfect home office, dressing room or guest bedroom. Then Red looked down at herself. “I certainly can't get into bed looking like this,” she thought, remembering her dash through the muddy fields. Luckily, behind the final door upstairs was a beautifully moody-decorated family bathroom, complete with a shower-over-bath combination. “Ooooh,” Red said, “not only can I get myself washed clean, I can relax after a stressful day of outrunning that wolf!” Morning came, and to Red's amusement, the wolf was still waiting outside. But as she looked around her beautiful home, she realised just how much comfort she had found here. Longing for some fresh air, Red headed outside with her morning brew. The garden was safely fenced and secure, giving her peace of mind as she explored the beautifully landscaped space. A combination of patio and decking, framed by bark borders and timber sleepers, creates a lovely outdoor area with plenty of space to sit back and relax. Best of all, it offers a wonderfully low-maintenance garden, leaving Red with more time to enjoy it.”Well, this is a lovely place,” thought Red, “but I wonder what else is around?” Although the home enjoys a peaceful rural setting, Red soon discovered that she wasn't far from everything she could need. Excellent commuter links provide easy access to the A50, while regular bus routes make travelling further afield straightforward. The nearby village of Tean also benefits from regular bus services for those days when driving isn't an option. The closest town, Cheadle, is just around ten minutes away and offers supermarkets, shops, cafés and eateries, providing everything needed for everyday life. “But what if I have children?” Red wondered. A quick search soon put her mind at ease, as the surrounding areas offer an abundance of well-regarded schools, making the location an appealing choice for families too. Finally, as Red looked out of the window, she noticed something wonderful, the wolf had gone! Yet, by now, Little Red Riding Hood had no desire to leave. Because sometimes, after all the adventures, what you really need is a place that feels like home. And Red knew she had found exactly that on Barnfield Road.
