Sat on the Shropshire Union Canal with 15 locks in the mile stretch through the village, Audlem has a busy passing trade and remains welcoming to visitors whilst its residents form a tight community and benefit from all the village has to offer. The village amenities of Audlem are fantastic with a good selection of independent shops including local butchers and delicatessen. There are numerous pubs that are popular with both the locals and passers-by, restaurants, mini supermarkets, churches and medical practices. The annual Transport Festival draws visitors in from far and wide and is an excitedly anticipated event each year. For a more comprehensive range of facilities, the market towns of Nantwich, Market Drayton and Whitchurch are only a short drive away. Junction 15 of the M6 is approximately 15 miles in distance and provides excellent commuter links to the north and south. Crewe Main Line rail station is easily accessible and provides a fast commute into London, Manchester and other major cities. The nearest airports are Birmingham to the south and Manchester to the north.

Audlem is a beautiful village and whilst we think you will love it and never want to leave, sometimes access further afield will be necessary. The nearest mainline train station is Crewe or Chester with smaller stations at Nantwich, Wrenbury and Whitchurch providing excellent access to larger cities and airports whilst driving over to Whitchurch or Nantwich will give you access to the larger road network into Wales and up and down the country to other larger cities. You really do have the best of both worlds sitting on the Cheshire/Shropshire/Staffordshire border.
